Lessons for the Discerning Gentleman: Lesson # 3

April 25, 2008

We are a grooming club for fine gentlemen and throughout 2008 we will present little (sometimes unknown) facts about how to be a gentleman. While we are working towards it, we don’t claim to be the authority on the topic. However, Mr. John Bridges literally wrote the book How To Be A Gentleman. For lesson #3 we quote Mr. Bridges’s from his book in regards to some real life fashion scenarios:

- “Unless he is a Texas Ranger or a cattle rancher, a gentleman does not wear cowboy boots with a suit.”

- “In warm weather a gentleman always wears an undershirt.”

- “When a gentleman wears a double-breasted suite, he never leaves the jacket unbuttoned.”

- “A gentleman’s pants cuffs fall in a gentle break over his shoes. When he stands, his socks do not show.”

- “A gentleman does not carry unnecessary paraphernalia in his pockets. A bulky key ring or a Swiss army knife destroys the line of even the most expensive pair of slacks.”

April 18, 2008

When we launched the Deluxe and Premiere Annual Membership Plans back in October of last year, we told ourselves that the respective fees of $699 and $899 were introductory rates. Now, more than six months later the time has come to adjust the rates to their final prices: $799 for the Deluxe Membership and $1099 for the Premiere. This change will go in to effect on May 1st, so all of you who have been putting off joining – now is the time! You can learn more about (and purchase) our Annual Membership Plans directly from out website.

Check out the article here. (In case you’re wondering the nails being filed in the picture, belong to the hand of the club’s founder, Vic Sosikian).
