Truefitt & Hill Conditioner

The Truefitt & Hill (a 200-year old company whose products date back to the Titanic) shampoo is nothing new at Mark Matthew. However, their Replenishing Conditioner is our newest addition. Whoever takes a whiff of your hair will melt; and it goes without saying that it’s a great conditioner to help moisturize and treat dry or damaged hair. Lessons for the Discerning Gentleman: Lesson # 2

Throughout 2008 we will present little (sometimes unknown) facts about how to be a gentleman. While we are working towards it, we don’t claim to be the authority on the topic. However, Mr. John Bridges literally wrote the book How To Be A Gentleman. For lesson #2 we quote Mr. Bridges from his book in regards to some real life scenarios:

-”A gentleman may do what he pleases in his own shower, but he does not shave in the shower at the gym. He never takes another gentleman’s towel.”

- “If a gentleman eats in bed, he always changes the sheets.”

- “A gentleman does not use his car horn indiscriminately. On the other hand, he is not sheepish about giving an occasional honk to avert disaster.”

- “A gentleman parks his car carefully. He does not bang his car door into the car next to him. If he scratches another car he leaves a note.”

- “A gentleman turns the television down after ten o’clock. If he must listen to music at three o’clock in the morning, he buys himself a good pair of headphones.”

David Beckham on his Grooming Philosophy

The Holiday 2007 issue of Details Magazine asked David Beckham about his grooming philosophy. Mr. Beckham replied by saying “I’m not embarrassed to use facial creams or tweezers. A man can be masculine but also look after himself.”

It all makes sense now… David Beckham takes care of himself, his grooming habits reflect on how he looks, women go crazy over him… His multi-million dollar contracts and celebrity status doesn’t hurt either.
