We are a grooming club for fine gentlemen and throughout 2008 we will present little (sometimes unknown) facts about how to be a gentleman. While we are working towards it, we don’t claim to be the authority on the topic. However, Mr. John Bridges literally wrote the book How To Be A Gentleman. For lesson #1 we quote Mr. Bridges’s from his book in regards to some real life scenarios:
- “Even if he lives alone, a gentleman never drinks milk directly from the container.”
- “If a gentleman tends to have athletes foot, he wears shower shoes at the gym.”
- “A gentleman never eats his lunch while he is behind the wheel of a vehicle.”
- “To establish a friendly relationship with the hotel concierge, a gentleman asks
the concierge for some necessary service, one that is important enough to justify a substantial tip.”
- “A gentleman always offers to share his umbrella.”
Being featured in the Wall Street Journal last month was not a one hit wonder for us. Your grooming specialists have been hard at work, as always, and have led us to be featured this month in “Verdugo Magazine.” You can check out the piece
